Facebook gave a polite nod to nations outside of the Americas today, when it rolled out a change to its notification icon that alters how it appears depending on your location.

If "something looks different" is a thought that crossed your mind when you did your early morning scroll today, chances are it was the little globe in the top left.

It's a pretty minute change, but smaller ones still have not gone unnoticed – A redesign of Google's logo was picked up in May, when it moved the second 'g' one pixel to the right and took the 'l' one pixel down and one to the right.
